7/31/2010- Preterm Labor
Preterm Labor is when you start dilating and your uterus starts contracting any time before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
7/31/2010- Preterm Labor Signs
*Make sure to call your midwife or doctor as soon as you begin to have any of the following symptoms in your second or third trimester. Which is any time before 37 weeks. Do Not Wait As This May Cause Further Complications.
- Increase in Vaginal Discharge
- A change in color or texture of Vaginal Discharge * i.e. watery,mucus-like or bloody
-Any Vaginal bleeding or spotting
- Menstrual like cramping, abdominal pain or even four or more contractions within an hour (even if they don't hurt severely)
- A difference in pelvic pressure * i.e. feeling like the baby is trying to push itself out
- Tightening of your stomach
.....These are just a few signs. You should always consult your doctor if you feel like you are in labor.
